About Matt
I've been teaching English as a Second Language since 2012. I soon became involved in teaching IELTS & Writing/Grammar, which is my preference, and came to enjoy the satisfaction that comes with helping people get into University. I've taught both in person and online, one-to-one and in classes, and to speakers of many, many different first languages, especially Chinese, Arabic, and Turkish.

My teaching methodology revolves around analysing and identifying the specific areas in which a student needs help and loading targeted, specific instructions, explanations, and practices onto those target areas until there is noticeable improvement.
Lesson structure typically involves explanation of a point, whether that might be grammar, specific vocabulary for a type of task, or the best way to approach a certain question, followed by a practice, a review, and a final practice.
For practices, I always use real past-papers from IELTS examinations.
