About Caitlin
I am a passionate Chemistry tutor with over 6 years of experience teaching GCSE, A-Level, and university students. My goal is to make chemistry understandable, engaging, and rewarding for learners of all abilities. I specialise in simplifying complex scientific concepts through structured explanations, interactive learning, and practical problem-solving techniques.
I teach a wide range of chemistry topics including organic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, and spectroscopy. My lessons are designed to strengthen both conceptual understanding and exam performance, helping students build confidence alongside academic achievement.
Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning preferences, academic goals, and pace of progress. My chemistry lessons are designed to make challenging scientific ideas clear, memorable, and enjoyable. Every session is tailored to the student’s academic stage, whether studying GCSE, A-Level, or university chemistry. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding alongside exam performance, helping learners develop confidence in calculations, equations, mechanisms, and scientific reasoning.
Lessons combine structured explanations, visual learning techniques, and active problem-solving to ensure students fully grasp each topic before moving forward. I simplify difficult areas such as organic synthesis, thermodynamics, kinetics, spectroscopy, and quantitative chemistry using relatable examples and step-by-step guidance. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely, creating a supportive environment that promotes curiosity and independent thinking.
I also provide targeted exam preparation using past papers, mark scheme analysis, and revision strategies that improve accuracy and time management.
