About Kartikey
I am Kartikey Awasthi, a 4th-year BS-MS undergraduate student at IISER Mohali. I'm majoring in biology and minoring in science education.
I have been fascinated with evolutionary biology since class 10th when it was first introduced in school. The theory is so simple and elegant and made perfect sense! After school, I have completed three research projects on topics in theoretical evolutionary biology each from IISER, IISc Bengaluru, and the University of Freiburg, Germany.
I also love teaching! I have taught school students Chemistry, Math, and English as part of non-profit groups of IISER and IIT, Bombay. I am also minoring in science education, to get rightly equipped with education methods.

1 hour long online classes. Intended for adults simply curious to study Darwin's theory of evolution to students wishing to get into the field academically.
Classes will focus primarily on the theory of evolution, so you can expect some interesting discussions!
Each class usually introduces a topic and you get to discuss it for the rest of the class. Shorter topics will be taught from slides, longer ones via an on-screen notebook.
Important topics from the chemical origin of life to speciation will be covered. There are biweekly assignments which could be simple question-answer or a presentation.
