About Luke
I am a committed and enthusiastic ESL tutor with 12 years of experience teaching High School and College students, helping around 150–200 learners improve their English proficiency. My teaching philosophy is centered on student confidence, engagement, and practical learning.
I believe that students should not only learn English but also feel comfortable using it in real-life situations. I create a positive and interactive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves.
I use a variety of teaching methods, including conversations, exercises, and real-life examples, to make lessons engaging and effective. I also tailor my teaching approach to meet individual needs.
One of my proud achievements is seeing students improve their fluency and achieve better academic results. I am dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential.

My ESL teaching approach is built on creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I strongly believe that learning a language should be engaging, practical, and connected to real-life situations. To achieve this, I use creative techniques such as storytelling, role-playing, group discussions, and real-world examples. These methods help students feel comfortable using English in everyday conversations and academic settings.
I place a strong focus on developing critical thinking skills. I encourage students to analyze topics, share their opinions, and express ideas clearly. This not only improves their English but also builds confidence and independent thinking. Students learn how to communicate their thoughts effectively, which is an important life skill.
As a mentor, I guide students with patience and understanding. I take time to learn about each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Based on this, I adapt my teaching style to match their individual learning needs. I create a supportive and positive environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and grow.
Accountability is also a key part of my teaching. I set clear goals, provide structured lessons, and track student progress regularly. I give constructive feedback and encourage students to stay consistent in their practice.
In addition to ESL, I also teach related subjects, helping students improve their overall academic performance. My goal is to develop confident, skilled, and independent learners.
