About Edward

I am a multi-instrumentalist, music producer, session drummer and percussionist who studied with the world-renowned Pete Lockett as well as Justin Scott (head of drums at ICMP).

I love sharing my unique knowledge gleaned from a life playing drums, facilitating the quickest routes to highly musical playing.

Recent drum sessions include;
Exorcism of Youth (The View)
Let the Flowers Grow (Peter Murphy and Boy George)
Swoon (Peter Murphy x Trent Reznor)

About the lesson

Connect with your innate talent for rhythm, and quick ways to tap into relaxed technique + great tone using familiar movements you're already using every day.

Students will explore material which encourages listening skills as well as offering opportunities to develop dynamics, dynamism and confident improvisation as well as part-writing in musical context.

Edward's response
Kieran took to the lesson material quickly, demonstrating musicality when interpreting polyrhythmic material as well as physical sensitivity when exploring stick control/rebound techniques. An enjoyable lesson!
