About Nikit

I am from India and I have been practicing yoga since the past 17 years. I have participated and won medals in many National yoga championships. I have completed my Master's in yoga specializing in therapy. I have experience of giving therapy to my students for various lifestyle diseases, disorders, injuries, etc. through some restorative and calming practices, as well as I train and help my students to achieve their fitness and flexibility goals through Ashtanga Vinyasa style and Advanced hatha yoga practice.

About the lesson

I always try to give my students the simplest of instructions and the methods to get into a posture, or to engage a particular muscle required for that posture. I have a good command over the class and it helps me connect with them in a better way. I try to share my experience with them as much as possible. When teaching advanced asanas, I even teach them how to fall first, before they learn how to stand up (in the posture) just so they keep themselves safe. These are some of my strengths as a teacher. The basic structure of class can vary student to student depending on their goals and health conditions. I can take up Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation also, which will help to relieve stress and calm down the anxiety.
