About Haman
Hey! I like your shirt really makes your eyes pop. I'm Haman; currently enrolled at Columbia University as an international student freshman! I'm excited to connect with students from all around the world. I'm from the tiny island of Bahrain, which explains my deep appreciation and curiosity when it comes to Middle Eastern languages and cultures. I see myself as highly professional when needed; however, I believe that the most welcoming learning environment is one where you feel comfortable. So let loose, smile, and get ready to learn! I personally believe the most productive method of learning a language is integrating it into your everyday life. I'll be a great asset in helping you gain the necessary academic tools needed to fulfill your course requirement, but more importantly, I'll help you acquire day-to-day utilization and useful life applications of the Arabic language.
The way I choose to teach is highly reliant on the person I'm working with. Individuals opt for tutoring lessons in Arabic for a wide range of reasons, therefore I maintain a high level of flexibility when it comes to lesson plans. However, a general brief structure would include a mix of a conversational section, an academic section, and a media/culture section.
I am fluent in the language and have studied it academically. I am currently pursuing a track in the Middle Eastern Department at Columbia University.
