About Soly
Hi, I’m a math tutor with experience helping students in calculus, precalculus, geometry, and college prep. I focus on making tough concepts easier to understand by breaking them down step by step. My sessions are patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I aim to build confidence, not just improve grades. I use a step-by-step method to break down complex concepts into manageable parts. I often use visuals, analogies, and real-world examples to make abstract topics more relatable. A Typical lesson plan: - Review: We start by going over recent homework or the last topic to make sure everything is understood. - Learn Something New: I introduce the new topic using examples and explain it step by step. - Practice Together: We solve a few problems as a team so you can see how it’s done. - Practice on Your Own: You try some problems with my help nearby if you need it. - Wrap-Up: We end by reviewing what you learned and making a plan for next time. What sets me apart as a tutor: I have tutored many people through middle school up to high school! What sets me apart is my ability to create a safe, encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My lessons are for: - High school students in Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus (AB/BC) - College students in introductory Calculus courses - Anyone who needs extra review or confidence in math to meet their academic goals
