About Katie
I am a jazz musician, going to college as a jazz studies major. I have taught several students off and on for the past 4 years. The one whom I have taught the most says she has improved in her overall musicianship and feels much more confident playing with a group than she did before.

My motto is a teacher is that kids don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. I understand that music is not everyone's passion, even though it is mine, and I want to help young people understand and appreciate the beauty of music.
