About Mariam
I've loved math since I was in primary school, and it helps me relax. I also enjoy teaching myself math by explaining it out loud. Now, I want to share my passion for math with others as a tutor. I believe I can help students understand and enjoy math just like I do. I am patient, adaptable, and capable of tailoring my teaching approach to meet the unique needs of each student. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I am committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that allows students to thrive. my desire to teach is driven by a profound passion for the subject, a commitment to helping others learn and grow, and a strong belief in the transformative power of education. i typically go through the entire syllabus from start to end to highlight topics that needs to be stressed on and needs more practice. i would go through these topics in depth from the basics to ensure there is clear understanding of the topic. i will then try to follow it up with a test to see the types of question that students struggle answering and hence prepare more question as such. i also go through practice papers form different schools to get a general idea on how students are doing. i teach primary school maths and malay especially but not limited to those preparing for their PSLE. (duration of lesson has to be at least an hour as payment is made by the hour) :)
