About GILBERT IVAN

I am Gilbert Ivan T. Aragon, a dedicated Korean language tutor committed to helping students learn with clarity, confidence, and consistency. I focus on creating a learning environment that is supportive, structured, and easy to follow, especially for beginners who may feel overwhelmed when starting a new language.

My approach is built on patience, clear explanation, and practical application. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style based on the learner’s pace, strengths, and goals. Whether you are starting from zero or improving your conversational skills, I make sure each lesson is understandable and meaningful.

I prioritize correct pronunciation, essential grammar foundations, and real-life communication skills. Instead of relying solely on memorization, I guide students to understand how Korean is actually used in everyday situations. This helps learners gain confidence not only in writing and reading, but especially in speaking.

As a tutor, I maintain professionalism in every session. I prepare structured lessons, provide clear guidance, and ensure that students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. My goal is to help students progress steadily and develop long-term language skills they can truly use.

I am committed to helping each learner build confidence and achieve real improvement in Korean language proficiency through consistent practice and guided instruction.

About the lesson

As a tutor, Gilbert Ivan T. Aragon uses a structured yet flexible teaching approach designed to help students learn Korean in a way that feels simple, practical, and enjoyable. The goal is not just memorization, but real communication and confidence in using the language.

Teaching Method and Techniques

My teaching method focuses on communicative and step-by-step learning, combining:

Interactive speaking practice (daily conversation scenarios)
Simplified grammar breakdowns (explained in easy English/Filipino terms)
Repetition and recall techniques to strengthen memory
Real-life examples (K-dramas, music, daily conversations)
Guided pronunciation training for natural Korean accent

I make sure students actively participate instead of just listening, so learning becomes faster and more effective.

Typical Lesson Plan

Each lesson is structured but adaptable depending on the student’s level:

Warm-up Review (5–10 mins)
Quick recap of previous lesson vocabulary or phrases
New Lesson Introduction (15–20 mins)
Introduction of new grammar points, vocabulary, or expressions
Guided Practice (20–25 mins)
Sentence building, reading practice, and pronunciation drills
Speaking Activity (10–15 mins)
Role-play conversations (ordering food, greetings, self-introduction, etc.)
Mini Quiz / Recap (5–10 mins)
Short review to ensure understanding and retention
Homework / Practice Task
Simple exercises for daily reinforcement
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
I focus on real communication, not just textbook learning
I use a patient, beginner-friendly approach for slow or first-time learners
Lessons are customized based on each student’s pace and goals
I integrate modern learning tools and cultural context to make lessons engaging
I help students build confidence in speaking, not fear of making mistakes
