About Ethan

Hi! I'm Ethan, an A* student at Wilson's School with 11 Grade 9s at GCSE, including 100% in Maths and 98% in Further Maths. I have an offer to study Mathematics at the University of Warwick.

I specialise in helping students with GCSEs (Year 7-11) move from Grade 4–7 to 8/9. I also support KS3 students (Years 7–9) to prepare for future GCSE success.

Having recently completed GCSEs, I understand the current curriculum and the most effective ways to improve quickly.

About the lesson

My aim is to make lessons enjoyable and confidence-building, because students learn best when they feel motivated and supported. I focus on building a strong understanding and improving exam technique. Most of all, I want to see them succeed.

Each session includes:

- Clear explanation of key concepts
- Targeted guidance through exam-style questions on weak topics
- Homework is assigned to reinforce key concepts

Parents receive a monthly progress report summarising
- Topics covered.
- Areas improved.
- Recommended practice for the next lesson

For the best results, I typically recommend two one-hour lessons per week to build consistency and maintain progress, which can be flexibly adjusted to your schedule

I offer a free 30-minute assessment to evaluate their level and identify areas for improvement, or a full hour for £12.50.

Deadly! Ethan tutored my son in KS3 and GCSE Maths for over 2 years with outstanding results.

My son, George, started at a grade 3/4 level and lacked confidence, especially in algebra. By GCSEs, he achieved a grade 9 in Maths and earned a Silver in the Intermediate Maths Challenge.

George’s confidence and marks increased rapidly; he went from avoiding maths and feeling anxious to approaching problems calmly and independently.

Ethan is very patient and adapts his teaching to the individual student. He took the time to understand exactly where my son was struggling and explained things in a way that finally made sense to him.
