About Saule

Hi there, let me introduce myself. My name is Saule, and I am in my last year of my studies at the University of Sheffield.

I am Japanese Studies major, mainly focusing on linguistic aspect of my degree, but I do also study modules in sociology and humanities as well. My major includes language studies, academic writing, research and translation. I consider myself a hard-worker, who loves being challenged and meeting new people. I have lived abroad for already 5 years, one of which I spent in Kyoto, Japan. My hobbies include literature, cinema, travelling and sports. Tutoring has been by far my most favourite job I have ever done, so if you are interested in my services, I am more than happy to help!

English is my second language, which I have been learning/using for more than 15 years and learnt it from scratch, therefore, I am familiar with the pedagogic aspects and teaching techinques. I have also completed IELTS preparatory courses and taken the exam myself so I am able to help with preparing for that too.

Japanese language is my degree and I have been using this language for approximately 7 years. I am familiar with teaching methods and struggles that foreign learners might face, thus I am positive that my teaching style is not too demanding and quite well-paced.

About the lesson

My teaching style has always been first and foremost the one that is well adapted to the learners experience, availability and learning pace. I like my students not cramming unnecessary information that is easy to forget, but the skills for comprehension and most importantly, the real-time communication.

I also offer my services in consulting students on academic writing.

I charge £15 per hour + travel expenses.
