About Laura

Alongside the piano, I studied classical singing with Andrea Calladine and Alison Chamberlain and achieved grades 1-7 ABRSM. My singing performing career began at the young age of three where I sang with Bournville Children’s Choir, as well as the CBSO Children’s and Senior Youth Choruses, and the National Youth Training Choir of Great Britain. I regularly participated in music festivals, including the International Eisteddfod, in Llangollen (Wales). Much valuable experience was gained from this early exposure, including many tours around Europe and the privilege of working with some of the world’s best artists. I have continued putting my knowledge, skills and experience to good use over the past two decades through private tutoring, music curriculum teaching and accompanying musical events for schools and private individuals in my home county, Worcestershire. I have a specialism and passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and have developed a bank of effective teaching and learning strategies to support an inclusive practice. I hold a first class honours degree in Music Education alongside the ABRSM Certificate for Music Educators (CME). I teach from age 4 upwards and have a 100% pass rate for those who have taken graded examinations - with most achieving Distinctions. More information can be found here: (concealed information)

About the lesson

Individual and group lessons are offered in person or online to fit in with your commitments. Lessons can be taken at my studio near Worcester, online, or at your home (subject to availability). If you are interested in graded examinations, I follow the ABRSM syllabus. However, I am happy to support requests for alternative exam boards (e.g. Trinity, LCM, RSL). I have a 100% pass rate for current and past pupils. I offer lessons in the following: Piano: beginner to intermediate Classical and Popular singing: beginner to intermediate Music Theory: beginner to intermediate
