About Mamoshabi
Hi there! I'm Mamoshabi Machaka, a dedicated tutor based in South Africa with a strong background in law, research, and over 5 years of experience as a kids' church teacher. I have a passion for making learning engaging and accessible, especially for students who are struggling with math or other foundational subjects. As an international student, I understand the challenges of adapting to different learning environments, and I bring this perspective into my tutoring. I tailor my lessons to fit each student's unique needs, ensuring that they feel confident and supported in their studies. Whether it's helping young children with basic math skills or guiding high schoolers through more complex topics, my approach is patient, clear, and encouraging. TYPICAL LESSON PLAN
Each session is guided by a personalized lesson plan, which I send ahead of time. Here's what a typical session might look like:
- Warm-up – A quick revision of the previous concept or a fun game to get the mind active.
- Concept focus – I introduce the day’s topic clearly, with examples and visual aids when needed.
- Practice time – We go through practice problems together, followed by independent try-outs.
- Quick quiz or check-in – A short test or review to check understanding.
- Confidence booster – I always end with encouragement, reflection, and praise for effort and progress.
