About Peter
As a linguist, writer, editor, debater, and public speaker, I'm generally interested in how (English) language truly works in every (communicative) context. Within this wide field, my specific area of interest include Lexico-grammar, Semantics, Discourse Analysis and Pragmatics. Such a background has adequately equipped me with the necessarily 'tool' to guide learners towards achieving effective communication.

The basic skills in every language learning are speaking, writing, reading, and speaking. In order to achieve the set objectives, apart from the need for adequate methodologies, the content would be derived from inherent knowledge of linguistic units. The areas that would be explored would include the nature of sounds in English, the behaviour of words and the contextual constraints in their functions, and the numerous ways words can be configured to express the needed meaning in discourses. The aim, then, is to build an effective user of English who would demonstrate knowledge of the structure and meaning potential of the language in all forms of communication.
