What is IELTS? 

The International English Language Testing System is an international standardised test to assess the level of English in foreign speakers so that organisations, companies and countries can recognise your level and offer you suitable opportunities.  

For Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK, it is accepted as a legitimate assessment of proficiency in English and can actually be a requirement for permanent residency in those countries. Even if you aren’t interested in a long stay or permanent residency visa it can still be required for a multitude of work visas. Depending on your situation and needs there are two different types of IELTS that you can take, the Academic test and the general training test.
