Personal training in general is all about the betterment of the self through exercise so that you can achieve the health goals that you wise to attain. There are many ways to get started by yourself but many people make mistakes such as not doing the right exercises for the results that they want to get, or not following the correct diet. Getting injuries is also a common mistake, caused by not having the knowledge on how to ease into a fitness plan or not knowing on how to do a certain exercise properly.
Having a personal trainer from the get go, will help prevent you from making these sorts of mistakes, mistakes that would delay you from making progress and that may even affect your enthusiasm for wanting to continue further.
We have a few instructors near Cork who are eager to help anyone getting into fitness, so that you can make the best progress possible without causing harm to yourself in the process.
If you are looking to get better in some team sports such as rugby for example then you’ll be able to get some coaching on how to increase your strength and improve your stamina with some regular strength training and learning how to make that progress and the exercise techniques that will get you the best results.
To prevent injury or you wasting your time, it's important to know how to do things properly. Our trainers and coaches will demonstrate to you how to do your exercises and will actually teach you, so that going forward you actually learn from it and will have all the knowledge that you need for the future if you plan on improving your fitness levels further or maintaining it. They will leave you with the tools necessary so that you know what to do in the future.
If you are unsure of anything then just contact the trainer that you are interested in. They will happily tell you what they can and can’t help with.
Not every situation requires extra help or advice but there are some cases when it is highly recommended. If you are doing something new like getting ready for your first marathon or you’re hoping to gain some muscle, then it can be very difficult to know on how to start preparing and training for that. Our coaches have lots of experience and specialisation, so when you have found the coach for your needs, you’ll be able to learn everything that you need on how to get started and what actions to take so that you make the best progress possible.
Another situation where having a trainer is better, is if you are wanting to make steady and continual progress. Motivation and hard work is needed in many cases to reach a certain level of fitness or body shape, but it's definitely not easy being able to keep that motivation up and staying disciplined. Personal trainers aren’t there to just teach you, they are also there to encourage you and to help push you and keep you motivated!
It certainly can be, but it isn’t with Superprof! In Cork the average rate is 20 for an hour and the average rate in the country is 22. Our trainers set their own prices, which means that there is a lot of variation and you are sure to find someone that fits your budget.
Lessons are an hour long and are generally one on one but some coaches are happy to give group lessons as well. If you are looking for more information-based help such as exercise plans, what equipment should you use etc then online lessons can be done as well, helping make things more convenient as you don’t have to travel anywhere.
