About Aryaan

Hi, my name is Aryaan and I am currently studying A-level Biology, Chemistry and Geography. I want to teach because I know how challenging these subjects can feel at GCSE, and I want to help students build confidence, improve their understanding and achieve the grades they are aiming for. Having completed GCSEs myself with almost all grade 9s, I can offer recent experience, effective revision techniques and a supportive approach to learning.

About the lesson

My lessons are aimed at both GCSE and A-level students studying Biology, Chemistry and Geography, and I focus on building both subject understanding and exam confidence. As a current A-level student studying these subjects myself, I understand the content, mark schemes and revision strategies that help students improve efficiently.

My teaching style is clear, supportive and structured. I start by identifying the student’s strengths and the topics they find most difficult, then tailor lessons around those areas. I explain concepts in a simple way, break down harder topics step by step, and regularly check understanding through quick questions and practice tasks. I also use past-paper questions, exam-style practice and mark scheme technique so students learn not just the content, but how to apply it in exams to gain marks.

For Biology and Chemistry, I focus on helping students understand key processes, definitions, practical content and how to structure strong exam answers. For Geography, I help students develop case study knowledge, explain key processes clearly and improve extended responses. I also support students with revision planning, active recall techniques and exam technique, which are especially important for exam success.

Lessons would typically be around 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs. My tutoring is best suited to GCSE and A-level students, particularly those who want help strengthening weaker topics, improving exam technique, or aiming for top grades.

In terms of qualifications, I achieved almost all grade 9s at GCSE and I am currently predicted A*A*A* at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. While I am at the beginning of my tutoring journey, I bring recent first-hand experience of succeeding in these subjects, a strong understanding of the curriculum, and a patient, approachable teaching style.
