About Benjamin
After gaining 10 GCSEs at grade 8 or 9 and Level 2 certificates in Further Maths and Microsoft Office proficiency, I have gone on to study biology, chemistry, maths and drama & theatre studies at A Level. I am now in Year 13 and predicted four A grades.
I recently sat the University Clinical Aptitude Test in order to apply to study medicine and received a score that was in the top 3% of the country. I studied for this test completely by myself, which I think is evidence that my study methods are effective and that my commitment to learning things through and through is outstanding.
I would love to tutor you because I have really enjoyed the teaching opportunities I have undertaken in the past and want to further my personal development by undertaking more of these.

I believe that my passion for biology makes me a great person to learn from, as I actually care about the content I am teaching.
My biology lessons are an hour each, and can either focus on topics the student is learning that week, working on previous topics they have struggled with, or, if they are working at a good level, getting a headstart on future topics. The hour will consist of going over the content, looking at some example exam questions, and maybe spending 10-15 minutes supporting the student with their homework (providing they have given it an attempt outside of the lesson; I don't think it is productive to just do the homework with them).
My biology lessons are for GCSE biology students (i.e. 14-16 years old) of any ability. I am happy to help people who are completely struggling with the course, or to push those students who are working at a 7/8 and help them aim for that coveted 9 grade. I am also avaliable to help KS3 students with their science. Although I was taught GCSE biology according to the AQA specification, the government curriculum is the same for all exam boards so I can cater lessons to any of them.
I may not have any formal teaching qualifications, but I have teaching experience which ranges from coaching primary school aged children in public speaking, to teaching adults basic life support skills as a volunteer with one of the nation's best known healthcare charities, and I have always recieved very positive feedback from students on these teaching occasions.
