About Matt

My name is Matt. I've been passionate about languages, culture, and history from a very young age. As a result I've learned multiple languages (to varying extents), worked as a translator and interpreter, taught English to students in Asia, and enjoy a multilingual home.

My passion for languages is contagious.

About the lesson

Most people learn Latin through just boring drilling of grammatical forms and never even get to the point where they can read the language. Worse, they never attempt to speak it.

I think that it's better to start with implicit demonstrations of how the language works, both reading and verbal, before moving on to explicit grammatical explanations. This approach also gets the language into your memory more securely.

If people tell you that Latin is dead, then we're bringing it back to life.
