About Mahira

I’m a Maths tutor with over 8 years of experience and an MSc in Statistics, and I love exploring how mathematics shapes creativity. Over the years, I’ve focused on showing students how problem-solving can be a powerful tool in art and design. I enjoy helping learners see math not just as numbers, but as a language for creating beautiful and meaningful work.
In my lessons, I teach parametric equations to build generative art that blends precision with imagination. I also introduce Fourier analysis, a fascinating way to understand sound synthesis and create unique audio patterns. Tessellations are another area I explore, guiding students to design repeating patterns that combine geometry and artistic style. To make these concepts practical and exciting, I use tools like Processing and Blender so students can bring their mathematical ideas to life visually.
My teaching is hands-on, supportive, and tailored to each student’s creative path. I believe that when math feels connected to personal expression, learning becomes more enjoyable and powerful. Each session encourages experimentation, discovery, and confidence-building. I welcome learners from all backgrounds who want to merge logic with creativity. Together, we’ll master mathematics in a way that unlocks new dimensions of artistic expression.
