About Kunal
In my lessons, I focus on making numbers playful and inviting. Together, we’ll explore logic puzzles, patterns, and even the surprising links between math and game theory. I believe learning is most powerful when it feels like exploration, not memorization. That’s why I encourage students to dive into recreational mathematics and see how math quietly appears in everyday scenarios. Each lesson becomes a chance to uncover something new and exciting. I’m a Maths tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Computational Mathematics. My passion lies in making mathematics approachable, especially for students who don’t come from a STEM background. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with liberal arts students, humanities scholars, and learners who once felt disconnected from numbers.
Rather than overwhelming my students with heavy computations, I focus on building a strong conceptual understanding. I believe the beauty of mathematics comes from its ideas, not just its formulas. Everyday analogies play a big role in my teaching, allowing abstract concepts to feel practical and relevant.
I also weave in historical context, showing how mathematical thought has shaped cultures and knowledge through time. By doing this, students not only learn the subject but also see its universal impact across disciplines. I enjoy highlighting the “big picture” ideas behind complex theories, so learners can appreciate the elegance behind the details.
My approach is holistic, patient, and encouraging. I meet each student where they are and tailor lessons to their pace and comfort. I take pride in helping those who carry past math phobia rebuild their confidence step by step.
