About Colin
I received my Master of Science degree in Biological Engineering from the University of Toledo. My thesis focused on tissue engineering. I read a lot of papers and studied a lot of engineering, biology, electrical, and mathematical principles. But, most importantly, I taught others these principles for several years, and enjoyed helping my classmates understand classwork. A lot of classes or even testing (AP or GRE or others) don't require you to know everything about a subject- you have to learn what the teacher or the exam board are looking for and asking of you. There are several tricks and methods to learning a subject, idea, or problem- so if one way doesn't make sense to you, no worries! I'm here to help.

My approach varies depending on the person and learning style that suits them best. I want you to be comfortable, and able to follow along. The moment something isn't making sense, please let me know, and I can rephrase it or we can try a different approach. I'll ask how you best learn- visual, auditory, through writing, speaking aloud, making your own notes, etc. So we start understanding things quickly and effectively. My goal is that you walk away happy, with understanding, knowing how to apply your knowledge to questions that you haven't yet seen. You can do it with practice, and my goal is to make sure you get this. I'm happy to talk face-to-face, use Zoom or Loom or other video sharing and screen sharing service, and I'm happy tutoring both 1 person or a group of people.
