About Elliott
After graduating with an Integrated Masters in Physics from the University of Exeter, I have been pursuing a career in Software Engineering. Maths was my passion growing up and it has lead me to be successful in my field of study and work. I was 16 when I first tutored maths, I ran my school's lunchtime maths sessions which I lead with enthusiasm! But more professionally, I have been privately tutoring for 2 years, and I wish to continue for many years more!
I’m passionate about making maths engaging, relatable, and empowering. My goal is to help people believe in their ability to succeed no matter what they choose to do! Outside of tutoring, I love to code games, travel and compete in snooker!

I'm a passionate and dedicated maths tutor with over two years of hands-on experience helping students grow in confidence and unlock their true potential in mathematics. My approach to teaching goes beyond textbooks — I strive to make maths meaningful by connecting it to real-life situations and everyday problem-solving.
Through the use of clear explanations, relatable examples, and a wide range of visual tools, I aim to create a learning environment that is both engaging and supportive. I believe that maths is not just about memorising steps or repeating procedures — it’s about truly understanding how ideas connect, exploring patterns, and learning to think logically, creatively, and independently.
In my sessions, I challenge students to go further than the standard structure of questions. I encourage them to make links between different topics, explore alternative strategies, and develop the confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems with curiosity and resilience. Above all, I want to inspire students and show them that success in maths is entirely achievable.
I work to instil the belief that YOU can do it — that with patience, practice, and the right guidance, YOUR goals are within reach. I’m here to help make that journey possible, positive, and empowering every step of the way!
