About Ursula

I’m a Physics tutor with over 9 years of experience and an MPhil in Physics. My teaching goes beyond traditional concepts, embracing a holistic and interdisciplinary approach that connects physics with art and restoration. I specialize in exploring how light interacts with pigments and materials, diving deep into the science behind the colors and textures of artworks.
Through examples drawn from art history, I help students understand the physical properties of art materials and the principles of non-destructive testing used in conservation science. My lessons are designed for art history students, conservation professionals, and anyone fascinated by the science that helps preserve our cultural heritage.
