About Gaurav

I am Gaurav Kumar and have the experience of managing English classes for groups belonging to varied levels: School, University, TOEFL, and IELTS aspirants. Apart from being an educator, I have worked as an Editor with an internationally renowned publisher: SAGE Publications. Having a keen interest in creative work, I have worked as a marketer for university level textbooks as well. I also am an aspiring writer and have been appreciated for my poems and write-ups by experts.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology begins by analyzing the student’s prior knowledge of the subject. Once I am able to assess the aforementioned, I delve into subsequent details and draft a pedagogy as per the student’s requirement.

Apart from following the generic method involving language-teaching, my motto is to steer the students’ aspirations towards self-dependence; thereby training/allowing them to learn how to cull out necessary information from the content at-hand.

My student of about six years, who is appearing for her CBSE board exam, has been excelling and making me proud every day. Academically strong, she has been able to excel in her school curriculum as well as has represented her talent (written and spoken) in leading national as well as international competitions (including: WORLD SCHOLAR’S CUP: USA FINAL ROUND (JUNIORS) held at Yale University) under my guidance.

An avid reader myself, I aim to help my student generate keen interest in reading books (of their choice) by means of exploring their interest and thereby creating an engaging reading list for them.
