About Ekta
I have a degree in Medical Biochemistry and have spent the past seven years working as a scientist in the field of oncology. During that time, I developed a strong ability to explain complex scientific ideas to different audiences — whether that was colleagues from other departments or new team members. I realised I really enjoy the process of helping others understand science, which is what inspired me to move into tutoring. I'm particularly passionate about biology and chemistry, and I find it rewarding to break down challenging topics in ways that are engaging and easy to grasp. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by playing badminton and going for walks. I also love playing the piano, which helps me relax and stay creative. Baking is another hobby of mine — I find it rewarding to experiment with new recipes and share homemade treats with friends and family.

I hold a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and tutor students aged 11–16. My clear, interactive teaching style uses active questioning to simplify complex topics and to keep students engaged. Sessions are typically 60 mins and are tailored to each student.
