About Iris

I hold a Master’s degree in Economics and have been teaching university-level and advanced economics for the past 5 years. My experience includes guiding students from various academic programmes—such as B.A., B.Com, BBA, and MBA—across diverse economic topics. I also support students preparing for entrance exams and research work. My teaching style is interactive, student-focused, and application-driven. I believe in teaching economics through a practical lens, linking textbook concepts with current economic issues, policy debates, and real-world data. This helps students not only understand the subject better but also apply it confidently in academic and professional contexts. I constantly work to stay updated with new developments in economic thought and teaching tools. I also enjoy mentoring students on research papers, presentations, and thesis projects. My aim is to create a learning space where students feel supported, challenged, and motivated to explore the full potential of economics.

About the lesson

My economics lessons are designed to offer clarity, structure, and depth. I begin by assessing each student’s level and then tailor lessons to their individual goals. Every session includes concept explanation, problem-solving, and real-world application to ensure a comprehensive understanding. I also provide additional resources like practice questions and topic summaries to strengthen retention. The core subjects I focus on include Macroeconomics and International Trade. I help students understand national income, inflation, monetary and fiscal policy, and trade theories with the aid of graphs and models. These are essential for grasping how economies function at a large scale and how nations interact through trade and policy. Lessons also include assignment and test preparation support. I help students approach essay-type questions, case studies, and data interpretation tasks with structured answers and economic reasoning. Each lesson encourages critical thinking and academic writing so students not only prepare well for exams but also build lasting analytical skills.
