About Jo
I am a student currently working on my masters degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry and love sharing my passion and knowledge of science with other curious minds. The way lessons are structured in school work for some kids but not for others and so I want to ensure that everyone can access their full scientific potential. I am enthusiastic about working with anyone who wants to learn regardless of their starting point.

I take the flipped classroom approach to learning where I ditch the usual approach of covering content together and then giving the student questions to work on themselves which can lead to inefficient and ineffective learning. Instead I provide learning resources and materials to read before each session so our time together can be best spent on testing comprehension, practicing questions together and focusing on important application of knowledge skills.
