About Owen
As a teacher that is currently going for their Master's in Education, I try to push myself each and every day to become a better teacher/educator. I want everyone to have the opportunity to succeed in life and that starts with education. After having taught as a 4th grade teacher for a year and music for over 2 years, I feel my experiences can be very helpful in working with a variety of different students. As a tutor I will take a much more personal approach to your education and use my knowledge and experiences to help wherever you may be.

My approach for K-6 tutoring and music coaching are similar, I find out where you are in your journey/education, set achievable goals, and work with you to attain them! In a 30-60 minute lesson we will start by seeing where you are doing well and build on those strengths. Then we can see where you may need more guidance and set aside time this lesson and in future lessons to tackle those challenges. Finally setting up goals that can help any student struggling by finding what works best for them individually. I also have experience working with students that have IEPs and can follow any plans set in place by school counselors/support teams.
