About Katie
Recently graduated my BA in photography, and currently studying my Masters in the same subject.
In addition, I am a photography mentor for the Bourke-White program with See It From Her, a Bristol based charity offering one to one sessions for women identifying: empowering women through images.

About the lesson

My teaching method is tailored for the student, exploring themes, styles and techniques that the student wishes to learn.
The sessions will begin with the basics of photography: the founders and revolutionaries of the art form, how a camera works (e.g shutter speed, aperture, ISO etc). From there, the sessions will be looking into one style or technique, such as perspective or portraits or street. These will be supported by researching into current and past artists related to the theme.
The student will be encouraged to pursue a particular theme or subject, and create a series, which would then be printed, and if the student would like to, we can look into exhibitions to share their work.
