About Jazmyn
My name is Jazmyn, and I am a current elementary math instructor with bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology. I am passionate about connecting with students and helping them develop confidence, strengthen academic skills, and discover that learning can be both enjoyable and rewarding.
I understand that every child learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to the individual student. My teaching approach combines patience, encouragement, and clear explanations that help students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorize answers. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students while maintaining high expectations. My background in psychology helps me understand motivation, confidence, and how children learn best. As a current K-5 math instructor, I work with elementary students every day and understand the academic standards and challenges they face in the classroom.
My lessons are designed for elementary students who need support in mathematics, homework completion, study skills, test preparation, and confidence building. Whether a student is struggling with a concept, looking to improve grades, seeking an extra challenge, or just a listening ear I am committed to helping them reach their full potential.
I believe every child is capable of success with the right guidance, encouragement, and support. My goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students become confident, independent thinkers as they navigate the world.

Hi! My name is Jazmyn, and I am a current K-5 math instructor with bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology. I am passionate about connecting to students to help them build confidence, improve academic performance, and develop a positive attitude toward learning.
My Teaching Method & Techniques
I wholeheartedly believe every child learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each student's needs and learning style. I use a patient, encouraging approach that combines guided practice, hands-on materials, real-world applications, and positive reinforcement. My goal is not only to help students find the correct answer but to truly understand the concepts behind it.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material and identification of any areas where the student may be struggling. We then work through new concepts together using examples and practice problems. Students are encouraged to ask questions and work independently while I provide support and feedback. At the end of each lesson, we review key concepts and discuss strategies for continued success.
What Sets Me Apart
As both an educator and someone with a background in psychology, I understand that confidence plays a major role in learning. I will support your child as an instructor, but most importantly, I create lifelong friendships with my students. I firmly believe that having a playful, safe, and secure connection really allows students and I to coordinate better for optimal results.
