About Jethro
Hello! My name is Jethro, and I am a Math major with 2 years of teaching experience in junior and senior high school Mathematics.
I am committed to helping students build a strong foundation in Math by making complex concepts simple, clear, and easy to understand. My approach is structured, patient, and student-centered. I focus on ensuring that learners truly understand each step before moving forward, rather than rushing through topics.
In my lessons, I begin by reviewing prior knowledge to strengthen retention and identify learning gaps. I then introduce new concepts using clear explanations and step-by-step examples. We work through guided practice together, followed by independent exercises to develop confidence and mastery. I continuously adjust my teaching pace and strategies based on the student’s needs and learning style.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my classroom experience and ability to handle diverse learners, including students who struggle with foundational Math skills. I am patient, encouraging, and focused on helping students not only improve their grades but also develop confidence and problem-solving skills that last.
My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students, covering topics such as basic mathematics, algebra, geometry, statistics, and general mathematics. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving step by step.

My teaching approach focuses on step-by-step explanation, patience, and active student participation. I believe students learn best when lessons are explained clearly and connected to real-life situations. I encourage students to ask questions freely and practice solving problems with guidance until they become confident independently.
In a typical lesson, I usually begin with a short review of previous topics, followed by a clear discussion of the new lesson with examples. After that, students answer guided practice exercises, and finally, we work on independent problems to strengthen understanding. I also adjust my teaching style depending on the student’s learning pace and needs.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience, supportive attitude, and ability to simplify difficult Math concepts. As a classroom teacher, I have experience handling students with different learning levels, including those who struggle with basic Math skills. I focus not only on getting the correct answer but also on helping students understand the process and build confidence.
My lessons are best suited for middle school and high school students, including learners studying basic Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, General Mathematics, and other related subjects.
