About Keira
I have been passionate about mathematics since early education, fascinated by patterns, logic, and problem-solving. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics, deepening my knowledge of algebra, calculus, and statistical analysis. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped students of diverse abilities transform challenges into understanding, making abstract concepts accessible, engaging, and relevant.
I emphasise connecting theory to real-world applications, using visualisations, examples, and practical exercises to solidify comprehension. My teaching encourages independent reasoning, exploration, and critical thinking while ensuring structured guidance. I aim to foster not only academic success but also analytical habits that support problem-solving in everyday life and professional contexts.
Outside the classroom, I engage with mathematical research, competitions, and modern applications in science, technology, and finance. This allows me to enrich lessons with contemporary examples, making learning exciting and relevant. Witnessing students gain confidence, mastery, and a genuine interest in mathematics remains the most rewarding aspect of my work.

Mathematics lessons with me are designed to combine conceptual understanding, practical application, and problem-solving mastery. I cover algebra, calculus, probability, statistics, and discrete mathematics. Lessons emphasise logical reasoning, structured problem-solving, and application to real-world contexts. I use visual aids, worked examples, interactive exercises, and guided discussion to help students internalise concepts and develop confidence. Each session is carefully structured to build conceptual clarity while gradually increasing the challenge to strengthen analytical skills and independent thinking.
For beginners, lessons focus on fundamental operations, equation solving, and basic functions. Intermediate students explore calculus, combinatorics, probability, and multi-step problem solving. Advanced learners tackle abstract algebra, advanced calculus, modelling, and optimisation problems. I provide step-by-step guidance, iterative feedback, and practical examples to ensure understanding and skill retention. Lessons are dynamic, interactive, and tailored to individual learning styles.
Studying mathematics develops precision, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking. Students learn to approach problems methodically, interpret results accurately, and communicate solutions effectively.
