About Sienna
My fascination with mathematics began with curiosity about patterns, problem-solving, and logical structures. I earned a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, developing expertise in both theoretical and applied aspects of the discipline. Over 12 years, I have mentored students at all levels, focusing on conceptual understanding, analytical reasoning, and independent problem-solving.
I teach with a structured, student-centered approach, integrating stepwise explanations, visual aids, interactive exercises, and real-world applications. Students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, explore independently, and develop confidence in problem-solving.
Beyond teaching, I actively engage with mathematical research, problem-solving communities, and applied mathematics projects, bringing contemporary and real-world context into lessons. Witnessing students progress from confusion to clarity, hesitation to mastery, is immensely rewarding. My mission is to cultivate confident, analytical, and independent learners who appreciate mathematics both as a tool and as a lens for understanding the world.

My lessons cover algebra, calculus, probability, statistics, linear algebra, and geometry, emphasizing conceptual understanding over rote memorization. I design sessions to foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, analytical reasoning, and confidence, using visualizations, examples, and interactive exercises. Each session is structured to help learners build a robust framework for approaching diverse mathematical challenges.
Lesson plans are tailored to student proficiency. Beginners focus on foundational arithmetic, algebraic manipulations, basic geometry, and introductory problem-solving strategies. Intermediate learners tackle advanced algebra, calculus concepts, probability, and multi-step problem-solving. Advanced learners engage with complex calculus, linear algebra, combinatorics, and applied problem analysis.
