About Autumn
My journey in mathematics began with a fascination for patterns, numbers, and logical structures, which inspired me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics. Over the past 10 years, I have guided students of varying ages and skill levels to achieve both conceptual clarity and practical proficiency in mathematics. My teaching approach emphasizes patience, stepwise explanation, and the practical application of abstract concepts to ensure that learners develop both confidence and competence.
I design lessons to be interactive, adaptive, and engaging, combining visual representations, real-life examples, problem-solving exercises, and conceptual discussions. I encourage students to think critically, question assumptions, explore multiple approaches, and develop independence in reasoning, fostering a deep and lasting understanding of mathematical concepts.
Outside of teaching, I actively engage in mathematical modeling, applied research, and computational projects. Bringing these experiences into my lessons allows students to see the relevance of mathematics in solving real-world problems. Teaching mathematics is deeply rewarding because I witness students grow from uncertainty to confidence, cultivate analytical skills, and develop a lasting appreciation for the subject, enabling them to succeed academically and apply mathematical thinking in diverse areas of life.

Mathematics becomes engaging and meaningful when students understand the logic behind every concept instead of relying on rote memorization. In my lessons, I focus on developing problem-solving skills, numerical fluency, and critical thinking by breaking down complex topics into clear, approachable steps. Lessons cover algebraic expressions, functions, derivatives, integrals, probability, statistics, geometry, and real-world applications, emphasizing understanding rather than speed alone. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, experimenting with methods, and building confidence as they progressively master concepts. Each session is designed to balance conceptual discussions, hands-on exercises, and reflective problem-solving, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of mathematical principles.
Beginners focus on building a solid foundation with arithmetic, fundamental algebra, number sense, basic geometry, and logical reasoning. Intermediate learners work on multi-step calculations, functional analysis, coordinate geometry, probability, and applied problem-solving to strengthen analytical ability. Advanced learners explore proofs, optimization, modeling, statistical analysis, and real-world applications, honing both theoretical understanding and practical skills. Lessons integrate interactive exercises, discussion, iterative problem-solving, and visual aids to reinforce learning and improve retention.
