About Lance
My love for mathematics began with curiosity about how abstract ideas can explain patterns in science, technology, and everyday life. I earned a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics and later an M.Sc in Applied Mathematical Modelling, where I explored both theoretical reasoning and real-world applications. Over the past 7 years, I have supported students in building strong foundations and achieving academic success through structured teaching and consistent encouragement.
I believe mathematics should feel empowering rather than overwhelming. My teaching style focuses on breaking problems into manageable steps, explaining concepts clearly, and helping learners understand the logic behind every method. I adapt lessons carefully so students feel supported at their own pace, whether they need gentle reinforcement or deeper challenge.
Outside of tutoring, I remain connected to mathematics through modelling studies, continued learning, and exploring interdisciplinary applications. Teaching is meaningful because I see learners transform from uncertainty into confident thinkers. Supporting students in becoming capable, independent, and successful mathematicians is at the heart of my work.

Lessons are carefully designed around the student’s level and goals. Beginners work on number sense, equation solving, and logical patterns with step-by-step reinforcement.
