About Kaia
I have 10 years of experience teaching Mathematics to students at school and pre-university levels. I hold an M.Sc in Pure and Applied Mathematics, which provided strong grounding in abstract reasoning, analytical methods, and real-world mathematical applications. This background allows me to teach maths with both depth and clarity.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and focused on building true understanding. I enjoy helping students break down difficult problems into manageable steps so they gain confidence steadily. I create a learning environment where questions are welcomed and progress feels achievable.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with mathematics through research reading, problem-solving communities, and interest in mathematical applications in science and technology. Teaching maths is rewarding because students often discover they are far more capable than they believed. Supporting that transformation is what motivates my work.

Mathematics becomes far more enjoyable when students see it as a language of patterns rather than a set of confusing rules. In my lessons, I guide learners through algebra, geometry, calculus foundations, and problem-solving strategies with clear explanation and supportive pacing. I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply, so they can apply ideas confidently instead of relying on memorisation. Each session encourages curiosity, calm practice, and steady improvement.
Lesson plans are tailored to the student’s level. Beginners work on number sense, basic algebra, and building comfort with equations. Intermediate learners strengthen multi-step reasoning, graph interpretation, geometry proofs, and exam-style problem solving. Advanced students explore calculus concepts, mathematical modelling, and higher-level analytical challenges with precision and clarity.
