About Emory
My journey into mathematics started with a deep fascination for numbers, patterns, and problem-solving, which inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Applied Mathematics. Over the past 8 years, I have worked with learners of all ages and abilities, helping them develop a clear understanding of algebra, geometry, calculus, and logical reasoning. My teaching style emphasises patience, clarity, and structured guidance, creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to explore concepts, ask questions, and learn at their own pace.
I believe in interactive and applied teaching, using diagrams, real-life examples, stepwise problem-solving, and exercises to reinforce understanding. My lessons focus on cultivating analytical thinking and independent reasoning, enabling students to approach challenges with confidence. I also provide guidance on study strategies, exam preparation, and problem-solving techniques to ensure learners achieve steady, consistent progress.
Beyond the classroom, I engage with mathematical research, puzzles, and applied projects to bring fresh insights and relevance into my lessons. Witnessing students progress from uncertainty to mastery and develop a genuine appreciation for mathematics is deeply rewarding. My aim is to inspire learners to approach mathematics with curiosity, determination, and creativity, equipping them with logical thinking and problem-solving skills that will serve them in academics and in life.

I focus on algebraic manipulations, calculus, geometry, and probability, teaching students to approach each problem systematically while encouraging curiosity and analytical thinking. Each session is designed to foster confidence, allowing learners to tackle both simple and complex problems without feeling overwhelmed, while reinforcing logical reasoning and problem-solving strategies.
I structure my lessons based on the student’s level and pace. Beginners receive clear explanations of core concepts, visual illustrations, and guided exercises to build a solid foundation. Intermediate learners explore multi-step problem-solving, proofs, and applied mathematics with practical examples to strengthen conceptual understanding.
