About Briella
I discovered my passion for mathematics by enjoying the process of solving challenging problems and recognizing patterns. This led me to pursue an M.Sc in Mathematical Sciences, where I studied algebra, geometry, analysis, and modeling. Over 11 years of teaching, I have guided students across levels—from elementary school math to middle school math, algebra, geometry, and SAT math—helping them develop strong analytical skills and confidence. I teach with patience, clarity, and adaptability, using visual aids, structured guidance, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts accessible. I encourage curiosity, exploration, and independent problem-solving, tailoring lessons to each learner’s pace and needs. Outside teaching, I explore innovative educational tools, current research, and advanced mathematical applications. Witnessing students grow from hesitation to mastery and develop a lasting appreciation for mathematics is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

I begin lessons by reinforcing elementary school math, including numerical operations, visual models, and pattern recognition. From there, students progress to middle school math, covering integers, fractions, ratios, introductory algebra, and geometry. Step-by-step explanations, real-world examples, and guided exercises help learners develop both conceptual clarity and problem-solving confidence.
Intermediate lessons focus on more complex topics such as linear equations, coordinate geometry, functions, and multi-step problem-solving. I also integrate SAT math preparation, teaching strategies for time management, problem interpretation, and logical reasoning. Students develop systematic approaches, analytical skills, and the ability to tackle unfamiliar problems with confidence.
Advanced lessons introduce higher-order algebra, geometric proofs, data analysis, and modeling challenges. Learners practice evaluating multiple solution paths, explaining reasoning, and applying concepts to diverse problems. My teaching emphasizes clarity, patience, and encouragement, ensuring students build skill, understanding, and self-assurance in mathematics.
