About Maia
I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and have 8 years of experience teaching students across diverse academic levels. My teaching focuses on clarity, structured guidance, and conceptual understanding, fostering analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and intellectual confidence in every learner.
I design lessons to meet individual needs, supporting beginners with foundational concepts while challenging advanced learners with higher-level problem-solving and applied scenarios. I use examples, visual aids, and exercises to ensure learning is both engaging and effective.
Beyond teaching, I explore mathematics in technology, finance, and scientific applications, integrating current examples into lessons. Watching students transform from uncertainty to confident problem-solvers, mastering abstract concepts, and developing curiosity about the subject is the most fulfilling part of my work.

My lessons focus on algebra, geometry, probability, calculus, and applied problem-solving, using visual explanations, interactive exercises, and real-world applications. I emphasize building conceptual clarity first, then strengthening skills through practice, guided reasoning, and iterative problem-solving. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore alternative methods, and develop independent logical thinking that supports long-term mastery.
Lesson structure is customized to each learner’s level. Beginners focus on basic operations, foundational algebra, simple geometry, and number sense. Intermediate learners explore functions, trigonometry, multi-step problems, and analytical applications. Advanced learners tackle calculus, optimization, modeling, probability theory, and complex problem scenarios. Exercises, guided examples, and real-life applications reinforce learning and improve both speed and accuracy.
My goal is to cultivate confidence, analytical reasoning, and a genuine appreciation for mathematics.
