About Fathima
I am a Master's student at York St John University with a strong passion for teaching and helping others succeed in Mathematics. I enjoy simplifying difficult concepts and making learning engaging, clear, and stress-free. My approach is student-centred — I listen to your goals, identify your strengths and weaknesses, and design lessons that suit your learning style. I have experience working with students of different ages and levels, from school pupils who need extra support to university students preparing for exams. Beyond academics, I aim to build confidence and a positive attitude towards Maths, showing students that anyone can excel with the right guidance.

My Approach to Tutoring I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs. I focus on breaking down complex Maths concepts into simple, clear steps, using real-life examples and practice problems to build both understanding and confidence. Lesson Structure A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I can adjust depending on the student’s requirements. Lessons usually begin with a short review, followed by guided explanations, practice exercises, and time for questions. Qualifications & Experience I am currently a Master's student at York St John University and have previous experience teaching and tutoring Mathematics to students at various levels. Who Are My Lessons For? I teach students of all levels and ages, from school pupils who need extra support, to college/university students preparing for exams, as well as adults looking to improve their Maths skills.
