About Megan
I am a mathematician at Durham University and I also take modules in biology (I am particularly interested in genetics). I have helped tutor friends for their SATs for their applications to American Universities and I have taught Maths and English to students at primary and secondary level in Zimbabwe on my gap year.

I give lessons to maths students in maths and further maths upto and including A-Level. I teach biology to GCSE students. Before starting lessons I will find out what level and what exam board they are studying on so I can familiarise myself with the specifics that they need to learn. I will then structure my lessons starting with the topics they struggle with the most; teaching them the basic methods and then working through questions together and then independently once they have gained more confidence and understanding. I aim to help students to develop an understanding of the subject so they can apply their knowledge to the questions and achieve more than they thought they could. I want to help give them confidence in themselves within these subjects.
