About Ibrahim
Hey there! I am a graduate of Medical Biosciences from Imperial College London with two years of experience tutoring! I still remember how daunting exams were at school, and this is why I am passionate about helping students! As your tutor, I aim to inspire confidence as well as maintaining a constructive and friendly approach, helping you to approach your learning with an optimistic attitude! Two of my students have gone from a grade 6 to grades 8-9 when it came to mocks and the final exams! In our first meeting, we will have a short discussion (incurring no charge) about the areas you struggle with - this is designed to help us develop an action plan to target these areas. Following that, we will start lessons.
Knowledge checks are used regularly so that you as the student and I as your tutor can recognise what your current level of knowledge, and we use the specification for your exam board to figure out what specific areas you are not familiar with. I am also keen on using exam questions so that you become familiar with the way questions are asked in the exam and what kind of points are typically on the mark scheme.
However, one thing I greatly appreciate is feedback by you as the student - this is so I can learn if I am addressing your target areas or if not, what I could do to improve. In other words, you are in control of your learning! I am there to guide you based on what you need.
My lessons are typically for GCSE students, though if you require help with A Levels or KS3 please still do get in contact! Lessons range from 1-2 hours depending on availability and other commitments.
