About Sophie
I am a medical school graduate and experienced educator, focused on helping students achieve their full potential in Maths and Science. I enjoy making complex topics clear and accessible, and supporting students in building both understanding and confidence. I run my own First Aid training business and hold a Level 3 qualification in Education and Training, giving me practical experience in teaching and guiding learners effectively. I structure my lessons to be engaging, focused, and tailored to each student’s needs. My goal is to provide a supportive and effective learning environment where students can make real progress and reach their goals.

I take a personalised and structured approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the student’s individual learning style, goals, and areas for improvement. My focus is on helping students build a strong conceptual foundation in Maths and Science, while developing confidence, problem-solving skills, and effective study habits. I believe every student can achieve their full potential with the right guidance, encouragement, and learning plan. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes and follows a clear structure: a quick recap of previous topics, focused teaching on new material, and guided practice to consolidate learning. The first lesson is free and is used to understand the student’s current level, identify strengths and areas for development, and create a tailored plan together for ongoing success. As a medical school graduate with a Level 3 qualification in Education and Training, I combine academic expertise with practical teaching experience. I also run my own First Aid training business, which has given me the opportunity to communicate complex ideas clearly and support learners of all backgrounds. My lessons are ideal for GCSE students who want to improve their performance in Maths and Science, boost their confidence, and reach their academic potential.
