About Heloise
A 5th year medical student at the University of Paris (formerly Paris Descartes), I also have a bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master 1 in cell biology.
I have been giving private lessons for 5 years at different levels. I went to an international school, where I would study in both French and English for 10 years.
I enjoy conveying my passion for medicin through teaching, and seeing my students getting better as the weeks go by.

About the lesson

I start with a methodology session, fundamental to use our time well during sessions and for the student's work alone. It is also an opportunity to talk about the student's difficulties, his expectations vis-à-vis our courses, etc.
From the 2nd session on, the time will be divided as such :
- we will start with a quick review of previously learned lessons to anchor them effectively in the memory
- 1 to 3 topics will be covered in detail (which we will have agreed on during the previous session or by email)
- Last but not least, we will go through quick exercises or multiple choice questions on the topic we just covered.
It seems absolutely essential to me:
- that the student has understood the lesson well, so that they have less to learn by heart!
- that the student is active during each session! This is why we will establish the program together, preferably in coherence with that of the university, that I welcome all questions, and that I always punctuate the sessions with exercises where I leave the student make mistakes if necessary, in order to remember well.
- adapt the methodology to each student, and listen to their feelings and their difficulties. These sessions are an opportunity for the student to talk without shame about the obstacles they face that prevent them from doing as well as they would like in school / university.
