About Mena
I’ve always enjoyed helping others understand things that initially seem difficult, and tutoring gives me the opportunity to combine that with my passion for science and healthcare.
I know how stressful it can feel when you’re unsure where to start or don’t feel confident in your abilities. I want my students to have someone who understands that feeling and can make learning feel less overwhelming.
For me, tutoring isn’t just about improving grades. It’s about helping students understand the ‘why’, find a way of learning that works for them and leave each session feeling more confident than when they started. I genuinely enjoy seeing that moment when something finally clicks and that’s what motivates me to teach.

I believe the best tutoring is about understanding, not just memorising. I break difficult topics into simple, manageable steps and use diagrams, real-life examples, questions and active recall to make lessons interactive and memorable.
Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit their strengths and areas for improvement. I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes and explain concepts back to me because being able to explain something is often the best sign that you truly understand it.
Lessons are with flexibility depending on the student’s needs. Sessions can focus on a specific topic, exam preparation, revision or building confidence across a wider area.
Having personally gone through the Medicine and Dentistry application process, I can also support students with medicine and dentistry applications, personal statements and interview preparation.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE and A-level students, as well as students considering applying to Medicine and Dentistry
