About Angela
Hi, my name is Angela. I am currently a medical student at the University of Leeds, having just completed my first year and moving into my second year of study. I have a strong background in biology and a passion for teaching, which I am excited to share with students. As a tutor, I can provide: 1. Biology tutoring for both GCSE and A level, helping students understand complex concepts clearly and confidently. 2. Medical school interview coaching, offering guidance on how to structure answers, demonstrate key qualities, and handle common and challenging questions. I understand the challenges of applying to medicine and preparing for exams, and I aim to create supportive, engaging, and effective sessions tailored to each student’s needs. My goal is not only to help students improve their knowledge and skills, but also to build their confidence throughout the learning process.

My teaching style is student-focused and flexible. I begin by identifying each student’s goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. I then tailor lessons to match their learning style, whether that means breaking down complex biology concepts with clear explanations and diagrams to using practice questions to strengthen problem-solving skills. For interview preparation, I use past mock interview questions and provide feedback that will hopefully build confidence, improve communication, and help students to demonstrate the key values medical schools are looking for. I always aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills step by step.
