About Bharathi

During my time at university I have come to realise that whilst being interested in the topics taught to me, the ones which I enjoyed the most were being taught by professors who are passionate in what they teach. They were not only engaging during the lecture, they were also willing to go the extra mile outside of classes and this is what helped me to excel in my studies and ignited an interest in me to also have a similar impact.
This is one of the reasons why I got into tutoring informally for family and friends' children.
I have taught biology and chemistry and GCSE and AS-level standard for almost 2 years now. My students have all found that the tutoring sessions helps to solidify knowledge they have learnt in their classes at school, helps them to excel in their tests in class and, subsequently, achieve better grades. My experience has been very rewarding and I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey as I am able to impart my knowledge and help those who need the extra push to achieve their targets. I am a very patient person and take my time to help my student to understand the topic at hand. My educational experiences have taught me you will have full understanding of a topic when you are able to explain it to someone else and make them understand it too.

About the lesson

I have a very active approach in the way I tutor, and prefer to take a methods which are learner-centred. Each student varies in the way they learn and I adapt my style to ensure they can reach their full-potential. I am keen on regular tests in order to track my students' progress and pin-point areas which need some more work. Active re-call and spaced repetition are My psychology degree enables me to teach in a holistic manner and helps me to understand the student better so I can form an appropriate plan for teaching.
